In the previous article we concluded that a person who consistently works on his three pillars BODY – MIND AND SPIRIT to have physical and mental health, in addition to a sense of meaning or purpose and ultimately live satisfied with his own life, is clearly someone who has well-being.
How is it possible to start building it then? Today we are going to give you 5 strategies that you can apply NOW. Remember... good things take time and well-being and health are not a destination but the path itself and requires your commitment and self-love.
- Set a daily training goal: Physical activity (20 minutes minimum) will allow you to feel happy, reduce cortisol (stress hormone), increase serotonin and dopamine (hormones of happiness and pleasure) and prevent and combat diseases such as depression and obesity. You can start by walking your dog every day, walking briskly or running, going to the gym
- Work on having HEALTHY personal relationships : Our relationships are the cornerstone of life and our attitude and disposition for everyday life are closely linked to them, therefore self-knowledge is a tool that will allow you to work on improving yourself and in turn you will be able to build a healthy environment.
- Discover your talents and put them at the service of others : Remember that the career you choose also has the power to fill you or drain you, that is why it is essential that you manage to identify what you are very good at, what you really enjoy doing and in what area you are a specialist or you would be willing to be. Likewise, when through your profession you allow others to improve their quality of life, you will achieve great rewards (not only financial, but even more internal and personal fulfillment).
- Cultivate your spiritual practice: If you still don't have yours defined, investigate, try different ones and see for yourself which one works and adapts to who you are. Being connected, living in gratitude, learning to be present, in addition to being sustained by God, the universe or energy as such, will teach you valuable lessons to walk with wisdom along the path of life.
- Learn to nourish yourself through food : The food you give your body is information, if it is of high quality your body will function optimally (it will defend you from diseases, it will be vibrant, your skin will look luminous, free of acne, allergies, among others) on the contrary, if you fill your body with junk information you will expose it to the deterioration of its cells (predisposition to diseases such as cancer, obesity, cardiovascular, intestinal, among many others). Quality information: NATURAL FOODS; low quality and garbage information: packaged food with very long lists of ingredients.
